几年前，我在一所高中的校园礼拜堂讲道后，有一个高中生发给我一条信息，她写到：“如果找不到神，你会怎么办？你祷告时，感觉就像对着空椅子说话；你读圣经，但那就只是些文字，对你来说没有任何意义。”C.S. 鲁益师在为生病的妻子祷告时也写过这样的感受，天堂的大门似乎上了双门闩。

我们有些人也会有这样的经历，感觉神很遥远，无法触及。就连诗篇的作者也描写了似乎感觉神不在身边的时候。诗篇22篇大卫呼求：“我的神，我的神，为什么离弃我？”耶稣被挂在十字架上时也引用了这句话。（参可 15:34）

所以，当你找不到神时会怎么办？应当效法诗篇的作者，向神呼求。让祂知道你何等需要祂。并且反覆阅读今天的这句经文，它使我们确信，我们若专心寻求神，就会寻见祂。神愿意成为我们日常生活的一部分，就像祂的儿子，我们的救主降生时向我们所显明的那样。

Several years ago, a high school senior sent me a note after I had given a chapel talk at her school. She wrote, “What do you do when you can’t find God? You pray, and it feels like you are talking to an empty chair; and you read your Bible, but it’s just words, and it does not mean anything to you.” C.S. Lewis wrote that when he prayed during his wife’s illness, the doors to heaven seemed to have been double-bolted.

Some of us have had that experience of feeling that God is far away and unreachable. Even some of the psalmists wrote about times when God did not seem to be anywhere near. In Psalm 22, David cried out, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Jesus himself repeated those words as he hung dying on the cross .

(Mark 15:34)So what do you do when you can’t find God? Do what the psalmist did, and cry out to God. Let him know how much you need him. And read and reread today’s Bible passage, which assures us that when we seek God with all our hearts, we will find him. God wants to be a part of our everyday lives, just as he showed us when his Son, our Savior was born.
